CH Sage Brush Mardi Gras, ROM
"Joey"

Breeder/Owner: Marie Dorris
BIS/BISS Winner
1989 RWD Collie Club of America
1993 BOS/BOV Collie Club of America
1993 lst smooth stud dog CCofA
1994 CCofA Tokalon Blue Banner Award
1994 21 Group 1 wins

When Joey won BOS/BOV at the '93 National, I was told that noted collie enthusiast/writer Iris Combe stated "I have seen the smooth collie..." It is true that a great collie is more than the sum total of "good parts". Such a dog was Joey: an athlete, a competitor, a "show man", a dog with "good parts" and great heart! Belle Bête's Sage Brush Th'Jazzman (2nd place, 2000 CC of America National am-bred class) just became CH number 20 (Ft. Smith KC, 10-2002) to complete Joey's ROM get requirements. All smooths at Belle Bête trace directly to this great dog. We miss you Joe....

CH Belle Bête's Hot Summer Dream
"Sizzle"

(CH Belle Bête's Summer Eclipse X Dela Reina's Lucid Dream...a CH Tartanside Spellbound daughter)
March 17, 1994 - February 14, 2005
Breeders: Charlotte Frazier & Pat Marshall; Laderio Collies

All wins from the bred-by class (still waiting for her AKC medallion), Sizzle finished with 3 majors (5,5,3). Her style was "fancy" with neck, outline, eye, expression and SKULL! Needing only one more point, I drove to the specialty in St. Louis with high hopes of catching the judge's eye. When a top handler pointed out another entry as "winner's bitch", I swallowed my nerves and entered the ring. I guess she didn't know that breeder judge Judy Evans loves neck, outline, eye, expression, and SKULL! We finished that day with a 5 point WB, BOW, and a "consideration" for BOV! Thank you Judy Evans for one of the "sweetest" wins ever (and for judging the dog and not the handler)! Sizzle produced 3 champions with another daughter expected to finish. Their wins were as "exciting" as their mom's ~ multiple specialty majors, a specialy "best puppy"/"best sweeps puppy"/"best Bred-By"/2nd place winner 2004 National Specialty. Sizzle was our 3rd generation of smooth collies and strengthened our foundation of "fancy" girls with "curvy" bodies!

CH Belle Bête's C'est La Vie

"Baby"

(CH Charisma's Oh So Picturesque CD X CH Darboshea's Wind Vixen CD)
9-10-1992 ~ 3-19-2005

As a singleton pup from my first tervuren breeding, what more can be said than "C'est La Vie"? From the beginning, she was "the baby". She finished with 3 majors (4, 4, 5): the last earned at an ABTC supported entry under Belgian Breeder Judge Mrs. Paul Lachnitt. Distinguished by her effortless movement, her enthusiasm in the breed ring, and her penchant for retrieving anything and everything, Baby always gathered a crowd. As a Veteran, she was BOS in Veterans Sweeps at the ABTC regional specialty in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

At the 2001 ABTC National veteran sweepstakes, "BABY" won the competitive 8-10 class. She was then pulled for Consideration with the sweep winner. At the ABTC National 2003, "Baby" placed 2nd in the 10-12 Veteran Sweepstakes.

sr AKC/UKC Ch Iceman de la Grande Lande
"Iceman"

(RE World CH Pavot van de Hoge Laer X RE Astrid du Clos du Cher)
Breeder: Patrick LaCarriere
Owner: Mary-Linda Adams

Very much alive, "Iceman" embodies the future of type in Belgian Tervuren. Winning in all arenas (American all-breed shows, ABTC specialties, ABTC National specialty, UKC shows, UBSDA National specialties, and European venues), Iceman's beauty, elegance, and TYPE cannot be denied. He is unmistakenly TERVUREN! Thanks to Mary-Linda Adams and Kathy John for sharing the attributes of this great dog and importing him to the United States. I feel trully fortunate to own his daughters, Fleurie du Cadre Noir and Marie-Claire du Cadre Noir.
